Mounting brackets can be mounted horizontally or vertically depending on the fixture to install shades onto. Use the bracket as a template to mark hole positions for pre-drilling holes in the surface for plastic anchors. If mounting onto solid wood, screws can be directly installed without anchors. For concrete or stone, anchors are required. After drilling holes, insert anchors until flush with the surface and attach brackets with screws.

For vertical mounting, remove screws from both brackets and adjust the Clutch Unit and Idle End Unit accordingly before reattaching the screws. Install bracket holders for the bungee cord and ring to secure the shade during windy conditions. Ensure the bracket is at least 6 feet from the top of the shade for easy access.

For alternative clutch setups, make changes to the Crank unit if needed for left side installation or top/ceiling mounting. Adjust the Clutch and Idle End units as necessary before installing the shade. Universal accessory parts are available for exterior sun shades, including Clutch Plugs and Idle End Plugs for different tube diameters.
